to analyze BOTH the oxygen and the helium content of the mix in one compact
portable unit.
Cochran Oxygen/Helium Trimix & Nitrox Analyzer
Light weight and easy to use. The Cochran Analyzer has dual 3.5
digit displays -- one for Oxygen and the other for Helium. The analysis
is simultaneous and will operate on the internal rechargeable battery
for 2 hours of continuous use. Recharge time is 2 hours. A red LED will
notify user when battery condition is low. This is a "flow through"
unit in that gas will pass in-front of the sensors and display the proper
oxygen and helium content. Input flow rate to be at 3 lpm or less. No
longer will trimix divers, professional trimix instructors or dive centers
need to "guess" at the diving mix content.
Cochran Oxygen/Helium Trimix & NItrox Analyzer
measures the percentage of helium in air or a helium/nitrogen/oxygen mix.
The LCD screen displays the helium content from 0 to 100%, with an accuracy
of +/- 1% full scale.
The Analyzer measures the helium content based on its high thermal conductivity.
The gas mixture being tested flows through a sensing chamber, then is
sealed inside. Once there, an electronic circuit measures the difference
of the thermal conductivity between the gas mixture and the reference
gas. The helium content is then calculated by the circuit and displayed.
While competitors use conventional wire-wound filaments, the Cochran Trimix
Analyzer uses micromachined thin-film filaments, which make the unit compact
in volume with low power consumption. The unique design of its sampling
cap allows the unit to sample gas without the need for highly accurate
gas flow controls. This makes it a stand-alone unit, unlike other products
that need a separate gas flow regulators to work. The Cochran Analyzer
comes with a simple adapter that can be pluged into your BC hose for gas
sampling. There is also an adapter that can be screwed directly into a
DIN SCUBA cylinder valve for gas sampling while mixing.
